The History and Mystery of Jewish Art

The History and Mystery
of Jewish Art

4 Tuesday Sessions:
Jan. 9, 23 & 30 at 2:00 pm (MST)
Jan. 16 at 3:00 pm (MST)

At the last session participants will be able to share Jewish Art from their own collections.

Course Highlights:
The Jewish people have been creating beautiful objects and architecture for rituals, prayers, and holiday celebrations since Biblical times.

Despite the Second Commandment, Jewish arts have flourished, especially in recent times.

The course offers an overview of Jewish art history, with a focus on the evolution of Jewish arts and artists.

Discussions will revolve around what makes a piece of art Jewish – the subject matter, the artist, or the meaning behind it.
