Reading of the Megillah

The reading of the Megillah in English with parts chanted in Hebrew will be preceded by an historical overview of Purim and the Megillah prepared by Sheldon Hersh. Sheldon has prepared a brilliant presentation including a narrative, slides, research, and art examples of parts of the Purim story…. all merged together to give a very clear idea of the message of the holiday.

You will peek behind the mask and learn more about this Purim holiday that turns mourning into joy.

Funny hat or costume encouraged. Masks and noisemakers provided.
