What’s in the Erev Shabbat Services and How to Lead Them

A requirement for anyone wishing to lead a service when the Rabbi is not present.

Four Tuesdays from 3:00 to 4:30 pm (MST) on Zoom:

May 13, 20, 27 and June 3, 2025

Four sessions on the meanings of the prayers, as well as how to link them together and lead a Kabbalat Shabbat service.

The June 3rd final session is also in person in the JCSVV Sanctuary, and will include Yizkor, since it is the end of Shavuot.

Open to anyone wishing to learn more about the meanings of the prayers, choreography and transitions of the parts of the service.

Will include practical preparation and checklists for leading a service.
