God empowers Moses and Aaron to offer the priestly blessing: May God bless you and protect you; May God shine God’s light upon you and be gracious to you; May God turn God’s face to you and give you the gift of peace. This ancient blessing is still given to this day. \n

DESCRIPTION:In lieu of a Women’s Seder this year\, we will be conducting a Pre-Passover Workshop led by Rabbi Alicia Magal\nFor Women’s Havurah and anyone else who is interested!\nSunday\, March 15th\n3:00 pm\nIn person only – at the JCSVV\n\n\nThe workshop is for those leading or attending a Passover Seder\, and wishing to learn more about the symbolic foods\, basic blessings/songs/prayers woven throughout the ceremonial meal. \n\n\nWhat is the most often asked question asked during a Passover Seder? – “When do we eat?!”\n\n\nExplore how to navigate the Haggadah\, or “Telling” of the Exodus story\, using any of the various types of illustrated booklets available with all the stories\, directions\, songs\, and blessings.  \n\n\nThe whole point of the Seder meal of Passover is to retell and relive the Exodus from Egypt\, moving from slavery to freedom.  \n\n\nSuggestions and discussion will include how to adapt the Seder to one’s particular family and guests\, so it is understandable and joyous for any age group or background.\n\n\nPlease RSVP to Rabbi Magal at havurah@jcsvv.org to ensure sufficient materials are available.
